Langford Park Langford Park Nursing Home is situated in a beautiful rural location on the northern outskirts of Exeter off the A377 Exeter to Crediton road and just out of the village of Newton St Cyres. The detached property stands in approximately 6.5 acres of delightful grounds with fields to the front and side. The Home has been established for approximately 22 years and is registered to accommodate a maximum of 34 clients in 32 single bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom; 15 have en suite facilities. Within the registration of 34; 10 are for young physically disabled and their accommodation is on the ground floor and first floor. The home is run with a manager, a deputy manager and a full compliment of staff including RGN’s, RMN’s, catering, housekeeping, care assistants, activities and maintenance.
Our Home is run by an experienced Care Home Manager, supported by Team Leaders and trained Senior Care Assistants. Our dedicated staff are there for your benefit and should you require anything they will ensure your needs are fully attended to. Vision HealthCare has a strong commitment to investment in staff and has a high ration of specialists to clients. This enables us to offer an outstanding service which is both responsive and relative to an individuals needs. You can expect a high standard of care that you should receive. Each client receives an individual care plan, which is regularly monitored and updated. Clients are welcome to keep their own GP if they remain in the area, or free to choose a new GP of their choice. Additional services such as hair dressing and chiropody can be arranged and you can expect appointments such as dentists and opticians to be supported. Our home offers an exceptionally high standard of accommodation. Each room has been designed to create a light comfortable environment and residents are en couraged to personalise their rooms.
In order to make rooms as personable as possible, clients are asked to bring personal items and small pieces of furniture with them. The comfortable lounge areas provide clients with access to TV and radio. We believe it is important to give clients as much opportunity as possible for social contact, education and work, within a secure and supervised environment. Vision HealthCare is able to offer an environment designed to ensure that these needs are met. We aim to provide a wide range of organised and informal activities for clients of all abilities and interests. Clients are encouraged to continue existing interests and activities, take up new ones or play a part in the day to day running of the home if they wish. We have an activities organiser arranges a varied and extensive calendar of events and entertainment. There is always something going on each week and the range of activities on offer appeals to a broad cross section of clients. Activities include gentle exercise, gardening, baking, outings, library visits, painting and many more, all of which stimulate interest and independence. An important part of life at Langford Park is the strong emphasis on community involvement enhanced by visits to the town centre and local places of interest. A number of community organisations make visits to Langford Park as entertainment for our clients.
